Auto-prospecting enables the software to search automatically for newly added or changed listings that match your prospect's search criteria, put them into the prospect's cart, and even send out e-mail notification.
To set up auto-prospecting
Choose Prospects from the Home page or the blue shortcut bar.
Click on the desired prospect's name.
Under Auto-Prospecting, choose "Yes" in the Add to Cart field. This enables the software to automatically add listings that match the prospect's search criteria to the Newly Matched tab of the cart. (Note: Make sure that the prospect's status is set to Active.)
Optional: If you want to receive e-mail messages when listings are added to the prospect's cart, choose "Yes" in the Send E-mail to Agent field. (This feature may not be available, based on your MLS's setup.)
Optional: If you want your prospect to receive e-mail messages when listings are added to the prospect's cart, choose "Yes" in the Send E-mail to Prospect field. (Note: Requires that Send E-mail to Agent is also set to "Yes.") (This feature may not be available, based on your MLS's setup.)
Optional: If you want someone else to receive "carbon copy" e-mail messages when listings are added to the prospect's cart, choose "Yes" in the Send E-mail to Cc field. (Note: Requires that Send E-mail to Prospect is also set to "Yes.") (This feature may not be available, based on your MLS's setup.)
Click Submit.
You must also set up your prospect's search criteria. To do this:
In the Search Format field next to the desired prospect name, choose the type of search you want to use to find listings for the prospect. Or, click Set up Search.
Enter the prospect's search criteria. (It's best to be specific, and narrow down your search.)
Click Submit. A message displays telling you how many listings matched your search. If this is too many, click Revise Criteria and narrow your search. If the number is acceptable, click View Results. The search results are automatically added to your prospect's Newly Matched listings.
