Many consumers still think of home ownership as the American Dream. Saving for a down payment is often times the number one barrier to achieving that dream. Even with lower home prices and record low interest rates, many potential home buyers are unable to save for a suitable down payment. What many don't know is that there is money available for down payment assistance programs. The Down Payment Resource program is tracking numerous currently funded programs in our area. Many of the Active Residential listings in our database may be eligible for one or more assistance program.

What Is Down Payment Resource?

Down Payment Resource is an online service designed to match assistance programs to potential home buyers based on household size, income, occupation, and assets combined with location and type of housing. Down Payment Resource is the industries first service to aggregate assistance programs and integrate them to for-sale homes in the Multiple Listing Service. The tool helps bridge the down payment gap by connecting eligible home buyers and eligible properties to available assistance funds.

The Tucson Association of REALTORS® MLS has partnered with Workforce Resource to bring you the Down Payment Resource program. As you search for properties, you will find a DPR icon displayed above the Listing Detail of a that is eligible for one or more down payment assistance programs.

How It Works

Look for the DPR Icon while you search for homes in our database. Click on the icon to find out how many programs may be available and to speak to one of our REALTOR members. Look for the DPR Icon and click to see if you may be eligible.
